Dieser wunderschöne 2ème Cru Classé de Saint-Julien zeugt von einer beeindruckenden qualitativen Regelmäßigkeit. Das Weingut wurde 1826 von der Familie Barton erworben und ist noch heute in ihrem Besitz. Die 50 Hektar grossen Weinberge von Léoville Barton, die hauptsächlich mit Cabernet Sauvignon (74%) bepflanzt sind, befinden sich auf einem herrlichen Terroir aus Kieselsteinen auf Lehm. Die Weinbereitung wird von Eric Boissenot, dem beratenden Önologen der größten Weine des Médoc, überwacht. Die Weine von Léoville Barton sind zugleich weich, samtig, sehr elegant und bieten eine sehr verführerische Frucht nach schwarzen Johannisbeeren und Kirschen mit einem Hauch von Gewürzen.

One of the stars of the Médoc and a wine likely to equal or surpass its 2019 and 2016 counterparts, the 2022 Léoville Barton unwinds in the glass with deep aromas of cassis, pencil shavings, spices and tobacco leaf, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and layered palate that's vibrant, pure and seamless, with beautifully classy tannins and a long, penetrating finish.

Couleur sombre, pourpre et noire. Nez intense, fin, fruité, subtil, profond et noble. Il devient complexe à l'agitation du verre. Nuances de fruits noirs, de vanille, de poire. Ultra fondant en entrée de bouche, très minutieux au développement, avec de la classe dans le toucher, le vin monte en finale, subtil et savoureux. Il s'achève très long, profond et complexe. Il a le fond et la minutie de la réalisation pour lui. Superbe !
